Join a Serve Team!

This team facilitates RVC’s unique experiences and events and by setting up beforehand and taking down afterwards. This includes preparing facilities for baptisms, conferences.

This team serves our people by directing traffic, assigning reserved parking and helping people find parking.

This team of intercessors cover the leadership, weekend and midweek ministries in prayer, as well as praying for any requests that are shared. Team members may also visit and pray with church members who are in the hospital or convalescing at home. This team also ministers to people at Sunday services for personal post service ministry.

Ushers prepare people for a positive worship experience by welcoming them and assisting them to a seat and providing information. This also includes facilitating Communion. Greeters welcome people and make them feel at home at RVC, offering smiles and direction. Welcome Hosts walk around the Sanctuary intentionally making connections with people that sit alone or are new. Welcome Center Hosts serve at the Welcome Center, serving guests by answering questions and providing information, helping with registration for all of our events, ministry opportunities and services at RVC. This team also assists guests at the Giving Station.

Under this Team we cover the following areas of ministry: Audio Engineers (FOH); Visual Media; Lighting; Broadcast/Livestream.

Safety is important and this team ensures that our congregants and children are able to safely gather.

This team creates an environment in our children's ministries where children are consistently exposed to the real love of Jesus. They intentionally invest in the lives of our children through worship, videos, skits, small groups, games and more. This includes the Preschool and the Kindergarten - Grade 4 programs, as well as setting up the Nursing Room

Members serve others through setting up, preparing and facilitating beverage & food services on Sundays & special events.

The Worship Team is where musicians and singers serve and lead the congregation in worship, through instruments and vocals.

This team serves by using their talent and gifting in photography, videography and/or editing.

This team oversees and serves at the Merch Stands, including setting up and packing away as well as serving those buying merchandise.

This team hosts life groups, offering a place for people to find meaningful community. Life Group leaders facilitate Life Group gatherings with a focus on connection and discipleship.

This team is focussed on being the hands and feet of Jesus to bring God’s love to our communities and the world by meeting physical needs, from organizing meal trains and visitations to helping people move.

River Valley Church is always expanding stage and studio design to keep things fresh. This team helps with set building, decor building, painting etc.

The #lovepeople movement is a response to RVC's 5th Core Value, Making a Difference as we Love People. In this ministry we reach out to the community in tangible ways to serve and share the love of Jesus with those in our community. This team is responsible for our bi annual Serve Days, parades, outreaches etc.

This team helps facilitate the Next Steps class by setting up, greeting guests, coordinating catering, materials and offering assistance during this monthly class.

This team work together to present Women’s Nights and events serving the women in our church and community.

These teams build the next generation by focusing on the social and spiritual needs that preteens and teens have during these vulnerable seasons of change and discovery. They create a safe social place for all, with impactful Bible teaching, worship and discipleship, as well as fun social events.

This team utilizes their gifts of administration and organization to serve the church in administrative areas like event registration, data management, lists and more.
